League of Conservation Voters keeps tab of the environmental records of US Senators and US House Members and helps to defeat at election those with the dirtiest environmental records who are vulnerable to defeat. LCV has a good track record of actually helping to defeat their targeted environmental bad guys. Their web site has scorecards for every member of the House of Representatives and for every Senator. They also have other information to help voters and politicians decide who to vote for and what measures and laws to support in the quest for a better environment. They also have candidate endorsements and links to other environmental groups. For making a real positive difference in the environmental composition of US lawmaking bodies and for educating all of us on the environmental records of political candidates, the League of Conservation Voters has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
