Ava Lowery is the 16-year-old young woman who does professional-quality antiwar videos on her 30,000-hits-a-day website peacetakescourage.com. Her website is recommended by Michael Moore's website. Her Sweet Sixteen birthday party was held on the steps of the Montgomery, Alabama Capitol as a protest of the war in Iraq. She is one of the leaders of internet political activism. She went to Crawford Texas to meet Cindy Sheehan who wrote an article of support for Ava and Ava participated in a Washington D.C. Mother's Day vigil against the Iraq War. By the seventh grade she had persuaded her mom to let her be homeschooled. Her antiwar antiBush short films are extremely effective showing gruesome wounded and terrified Iraq children and other graphic scenes.
