Malalai Joya is a woman member of the Afghan parliament and the most effective opponent of the anti-woman warlords who have defacto control of Afghanistan. She is always guarded by armed men because there are many anti-democratic men who would like to kill her. She is also the most popular member of the parliament. She was banished from the parliament (Loya Jirga) in 2003 for denouncing the presence of warlords in the assembly. She was elected in 2005 and is now able to serve. She says that the "Afghan parliament is the most disgusting and corrupt parliament in the world." She changes her residence every day to avoid being assassinated. She wears the "disgusting burqa" to hide her identity in public and has to leave the parliament after everyone else has left. She will "continue to be the voice of millions of voiceless Afghan people who are still being brutalized and smashed by fundamentalists like the Northern Alliance and Taliban." Note that at various times the Northern Alliance and Taliban have been financed and otherwise supported by the USA government. These groups are responsible for mass murder and the USA Presidency wants this despicable situation to continue.
