Jason Altmire is the new Congressman for the 4th district of Pennsylvania. He is a Democrat who wants to make peace not war in Iraq and peace with Republicans. He has experience in hospital administration and wants to improve the whole hospital/doctor/insurance/prescription system to make it much more affordable and humane. He is the winner of the 2005 Arcadia Award to the local businessman who most exemplifies community service. He is a former Congressional Staffer and opposes privatization of Social Security. He wants to do all the right things in Iraq to replace all the wrong things the Bush administration has done so the Iraqis can police their own country and American soldiers can be brought home. He wants to reform the broken Veterans' health care system. He wants to end the culture of corruption in Washington led by the Bush Administration and members of the House and Senate. He wants to end the oil-first policy of the current administration and replace it with an environment plus health-first system of alternative energy sources. He wants to have a balanced federal budget instead of the reckless and greedy rich-first policy of the Bush administration. He wants to have a foreign trade policy that helps American workers instead of the Bush policy which hurts workers.
