Jim Himes is the Democrat who will replace New England's last Republican US Congressman Christopher Shays of Connecticut's 4th Congressional district. Jim is for ending the disasterous economic policies of the Bushies. He is for tax policies that craft jobs at home rather than abroad and for ending the Bushie politics that are creating the worst economic conditions since the great depression. He believes in middle class tax relief, a great education system and energy independence. He believes we shouldn't be creating huge debt for our descendents. He believes our greatest challenges like climate change, genocide, terrorism and nuclear proliferation require global solutions in concert with other nations. He believes it is a moral outrage that so many Americans lack proper health care because they cannot afford it because the health care system is designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer instead of being designed for optimum health for everyone. He is for an open world-class broadband internet for all areas of the USA instead of the current micky-mouse overpriced monstrosity. We need a system that is competitive with the best systems in the world. He believes that every one of us in entitled to respect, dignity and equality under the law.
