Scott Murphy is the new Democratic Congressman for the 20th district of New York, replacing Kirstan Gillibrand who replaced Hillary Rodham Clinton as New York's new US Senator. Murphy is for transparency and accountability by posting his schedule online, releasing all the appropriation requests he makes, making himself available to every resident, accepting ideas for job creation/economic growth and strengthening ethics rules. He believes in fighting terrorism, combating climate change, helping those suffering from poverty and hunger, persueing terrorists, enlisting allies and restoring US standing in the world. He wants an international solution to climate change and finding solutions that cut greenhouse gases and creating green jobs in green energy. He believes we can find a solution that provides health care to everyone and that we should fully exploit stem cell research and other research that will create cures. He believes we should provide significant tax relief to middle class families and continue to improve education for better jobs and improved infrastructure. He believes we should hold bought politicians and Wall Street accountable for their share of blame for our great recession. He is for tax credits to companies that create jobs right here at home and making sure that corporate excecutives are held accountable for all of their risky and greedy activities.
