Farida Sheralam is Webmistress for National CODEPINK, designing national alerts, special events and special campaign websites. She also designs CODEPINK brochures and media kits. She also does freelance web pages and graphics. CODEPINK received the 2008 Best Microsite Progressive Source Award for Don't Buy Bush's War. They also won the 2007 MOST POPULAR Best Homepage Progressive Source Award. Farida is a fan of Amnesty International which is people across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Amnesty protects people whenever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. They investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilize the public and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world. Amnesty recieved the Nobel Peace Prize for their life-saving work. Amnesty has more than 2.2 million supporters, activists and volunteers in over 150 countries and complete independence from government, corporate and national interests and works to protect human rights worldwide. Their vision is of a world in which every person, regardless of race, religion, gender or ethnicity - enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.
