Harry Teague is the new Democratic Congressman for the 2nd district of New Mexico by getting 55% of the vote against Republican Ed Tinsley. Teague is for the best health care and other services for veterans that the USA can provide; for a robust system of highways, roads, bridges, rail and airports; For doubling up on energy jobs by adding wind, solar and other new energy sources and jobs; for cracking down on global warming and protecting the environment; for making America safe; for getting our economy back on track; for reducing unemployment; for his first ammendment as a Congressman to provide a website to connect workers with jobs which was signed by the President; for tax relief for hard-working families; for open and transparent government with a functional democracy; for affordable health care for all with options to fit individual needs and with focus on prevention to reduce illness and on affordable drugs when needed and on affordable operations and on other affordable therapies; for addressing the large unfunded backlog of environmental cleanup required to fix closed military bases; for the fromise of a full four-year college education for veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan; and for giving businesses a $2,400 tax credit for hiring unemployed veterans.
