John Boccieri is the Democratic Congressman for the 16th district of Ohio. He is for: the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, fair trade policies, new energy technologies for less global warming and more jobs, a greener and cleaner economy, making transportation use less foreign oil and other fossil fuels by using cleanly-generated electricity and other cleaner forms of power and transportation, American Clean Energy and Security Act which creates clean green energy which is good for all of us and moves us toward energy independence while creating many jobs, a carbon cap and trade system to reduce emissions, extensive research in clean coal technologies, a provision that Wall Street cannot speculate on energy futures, restricting betting and hedging on energy credits, protecting consumers, small businesses and large businesses from volatile rate spikes, helping US manufacturers transition to building the components necessary for alternative energy systems, growing the nation's gross domestic product robustly from 13 trillion in 2008 to more than $22 trillion in 2030, helping America become the world leader in new energy technologies, auto industry incentives to manufacture electric and other advanced technology vehicles, monthly energy refunds to families in need, being good stewards of the Earth, Action by the U.S. to put pressure on China and India to become part of the world effort to address the climate crisis over the next decade.
