FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 12-5-2009

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 was given jointly to the INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE (IPCC) and to ALBERT ARNOLD GORE JR. If the USA would have had a free and fair and accurate vote count in 2000, Al Gore would have become President instead of the (to become a war criminal) George W. Bush. The Nobel Presentation Speech was given by Professor Ole Danbolt Mjos, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Some of what he said: The prize is shared between the IPCC and Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measurements that are need to counteract such change. The Oxford Dictionary of Contemporary World History describes the Nobel Peace Prize as "the world's most prestigious prize." This year a great deal in hinging on global warming. Processes that have been going on for a long time are accelerating. The ice is melting more rapidly and the desert is spreading more quickly in Africa and the glaciers are shrinking in the Himalayas. Climate-related issues are moving up the political agenda. More and more scientists have reached ever closer agreement about the consequences that will follow from global warming. Al Gore is the leading political spokesman on the environment which is what saving the future is all about. Click the links below for more information.
